Blog Posting Guidelines

Welcome to PIM 862 course blog! This is a platform to promote topical discussions outside the classroom where you will have a chance to interact with each other, share your experience and ideas with others, and learn from others' ideas and experiences. It is up to you to take advantage of this opportunity and make this experience worth your time. The key is not to approach this as "just another requirement" to complete the course but as a venue to express yourself and cultivate your learning. When you are preparing your post, try to find an article that you find genuinely interesting, hence feel excited about sharing with others. Your enthusiasm is contagious and will generate further interest from your class mates.

Note that both Cohorts 1 and 2 of the class of 2012 will be contributing here on the same blog to allow for a richer information exchange. You will have a chance to interact with other students that you may not get to know in regular classroom setting. Try to take advantage of this diversity.

It goes without saying that you need to be always courteous and respectful in your comments. You are expected to think critically and feel free to defend your own opinion as long as you observe common rules of (n)ettiquette. All posts must be relevant to the course, clearly written, and as concise as possible. Editing down your posts before you submit is an indication of respect for others' time.

Finally, title your original article post in a way to reflect the content of the article and/or the key point you want to make (Do not include your name in the post title). Remember you are trying to capture others' attention! Make sure to set your Display Name as your full name in profile settings so that everyone knows who you are and you can be graded properly.

Now please check the Week Assignment tab to find out which week you are appointed to and we are ready to roll.

Have a fantastic semester!
